CS Gurgaon Metro line trials from Jan 29 2010

Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) is starting trial runs on the Gurgaon stretch of the Central Secretariat to HUDA City Centre line from January 29. The trial train will be flagged off by Haryana chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda and Urban development minister Jaipal Reddy.

The trial runs will cover a distance of about 11km — from the last stop in Gurgaon at HUDA City Centre to IFFCO Chowk, MG Road, Sikandarpur, Guru Dronacharya, Arjangarh, Ghitorni and Sultanpur Metro stations.

The trials were supposed to be on the Gurgaon portion of the line, which starts at the Guru Dronacharya station. But the train depot which is a must for an operational line is located at Sultanpur for this stretch. DMRC is yet to fix a date for opening of the line, but the idea is to make the entire stretch operational by June this year.
